Taking your pointed pen skills
to the next level!

You may have attended an introduction pointed pen calligraphy course or you may have practiced pointed pen calligraphy on your own and you know how to construct the lowercase letters from a-z. Now what?

Calligraphy practice generally requires both time and conscious practice to see noticeable results and improvement in the art.

At this stage, you might realize your lowercase letters are looking inconsistent. When you try to string them into words, the spacing between the letters look awkward and you are not sure how you can improve.

You might have also tried practising uppercase letters on your own but the forms do not look like the examples you have seen online.

In fact, with the styles you are referencing online, do you know what sort of influence that style is derived from?

If you are not able to answer some of these questions or not even sure what was mentioned, this class is absolutely suitable for you! We will cover both lowercase and uppercase letters in greater detail so you can improve your letter forms and create consistently written words.

 Our students say…

Nichole’s curriculum and style of teaching is different from many teachers as she took the time to analyse letter forms and impart the knowledge to students in easily understood methodology and using her signature grid and unit spacing. It’s easy to write for some than to teach - but for Nichole, she’s great in both skills and I’ve been following her for a few years already and each lesson has further stretched what I thought I already knew about calligraphy
— Bee Chien - Student from Introduction to Copperplate Course, Intermediate Copperplate and Artwork Creation Couourse
I enjoy very much learning from Nichole. Her tone is very sweet & clear even won’t feel sleepy when she talking segments related to calligraphy theory. After attending her introduction to pointed calligraphy class, I went on to sign up for the 6-weeks Copperplate program and Letter Variation courses! I have zero knowledge in calligraphy when I began and have definitely saw tremendous improvements in my calligraphy writings and knowledge. If my friends who are interest to attend calligraphy classes I will strongly recommend them attend Nichole’s classes!
— @lingling_koh_ , Student who attended 2-weeks intro class, 6-weeks Copperplate Calligraphy program & Letter Variation Course.
I’m really new to calligraphy and I’m practicing with my non dominant hand. Nichole helped from the ground up about positioning the paper, holding and sitting posture. And every class went pretty great checking my writing and correcting as I learn. Nichole gives bunch of materials and teaches abundance technicalities of each writing style and she’s so solid with the underlying technical details to the core. I still need to practice though but the intent is she’s open clarify your questions though they seem very seem and fundamental which are quite important. For that, thanks Nichole.
— GN, Student from Copperplate Calligraphy Program student
I thoroughly enjoyed my calligraphy classes with Nichole! She’s an excellent teacher who was able to communicate effectively throughout my interactions with her, even before I started any classes. She is meticulous with a close eye for detail, which is great for pointing out tiny flaws in your work and cultivating good habits right from the start, especially so for beginners like myself! I would recommend Nichole’s classes to anyone who is looking for a firm foundation in the art of calligraphy!
— Natalie T, Student from 2-weeks Intro Class & 6-weeks Program Student between Oct 2020 to Feb 2021
